FJW GOES INTO BYE WEEKEND WITH 5 BIG WINS

The Jr. Wildcats rolled over visiting Inderkum on Saturday October 3 at Toby Johnson field.

The Mighty Mites started the day off strong with a 15-0 shutout victory.  Last year at the Jr. Pee Wee level, the Wildcats and the Jr. Tigers battled through 5 quarters and ended in a tie.  This year however, the Jr. Pee Wees made a statement with a 38-0 victory.  The Pee Wee battle was tight through 3 quartrers with the Jr. Wildcats holding a slim lead until the Jr. Tigers completed a 40 yard pass play at the begining of the 4th quarter to take an 8-6 lead.  After that however, it was all Wildcats, and the Pee Wees remain unbeaten at 5-0 by scoring 3 times in the final quarer to secure a 28-8 victory.  Unfortunately the Jr. Midgets didn't have an official game, but during scrimmage play the Jr. Midgets looked sharp and are heading for a show down with San Joaquin in week 9.  The Midgets capped off a day of victories with a 22-0 shutout.

This was the final home game of the season for the Wildcats.  The Jr. Wildcat teams are posting a combined 23 wins and 2 losses with the Pee Wee, Jr. Midget, and Midget teams still posting unbeaten records.

After a bye week, the Jr. Wildcats travel to Lodi to take on the Jr. Flames on October 17.  Don't miss the action!
