A Winning Day for FJW and the US Armed Forces

Saturday September 12, 2009 was a great day in the history of the Franklin Jr. Wildcats.  Not only did the Jr. Wildcats win all five games against cross town rival, the Sheldon Jr. Huskies, the Wildcat families showed their pride by donating cash and goods to be given to our US armed forces.  In honor of the 9/11 disaster, the Jr. Wildcats created a commemorative Camo T-shirt that almost sold out and all of the proceeds, close to $1000, are being donated.  Jr. Wildcat and Jr. Huskie families brought items like tooth paste and tooth brushes, soap and beef jerky that filled up 8 large plastic tubs.

The players and fans also enjoyed visits from the US Marines, US Air Force, and a Honor guard presentation by the Elk Grove chapter of the US Army.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the events of the day.  The Wildcats rock!!!
