  Our Goal and Purpose

  Cheer news -

This past weekend the Jr. Wildcat cheer squads competed in the Nor Cal Sports Alliance cheer competition.  This competition brings all of the NCSA cheer squads together for competition at two different levels.  This competition is what the cheerleaders work towards from day one of the season.  The competition took place at a jam packed Bear Creek High School in Stockton and was professionally judged by JAMZ.  The competition was intense, but the Jr. Wildcat cheerleaders stayed focused and brought home three first place and one second place trophy.   The Mighty Mites took second place and looked absolutely adorable.  Only .8 of a point separated the MMs from

first place.  The Jr. Pee Wees looked sharp and took first place in the Novice division.  Our Pee Wees and Midgets competed in the more difficult Intermediate/Advanced division.  The Pee Wees pulled it all together at exactly right time with some great stunts and the Midgets literally rocked the house with their high flying stunts, pyramids, and tosses.   Their routine to Michael Jackson's Thriller brought the crowd to its feet!

After having taken three first place trophies on Sunday October 11 at the JAMZ competition at Marine world in Vallejo, the FJW cheerleaders for 2009 have 6 first place trophies and 1 second place in 8 attempts.  Not bad!!!

Congratulations, cheerleaders, coaches, trainers and parents for a great job!!!
